Schoharie
The Schoharie Creek (misleading name here) empties into the Mohawk River upstream of the Erie Canal Lock 12.

There's a lot of history here that directly affects the Mohawk Valley.

Can we include Johnstown and Gloversville?
Johnstown and Gloversville may actually be a little further north than the Mohawk Valley, but they certainly have the smell and feel of any Mohawk Valley town or city.

Canajoharie Rocks! And St. Johnsville too
And we roll with the waves too! Home of Wintergreen State Park in Canajoharie.
St. Johnsville is over the river and a few more miles west, but its close enough that we wanted to include it here.

Off the northway
Route 87 in New York State is called the Northway (even going south) from Albany to the Canadian line, and is part of the Thruway from Albany south.

Rants, Raves, Opinions and Fun Stuff!
Schenectady County has been rated the 8th highest taxed county in the whole COUNTRY! And the City of Schenectady is out of control with the taxes and the spending. We rant! We rave!
But mostly, we pay it and try to move away.
